The Challenge!

One of our customers came to us with a difficult challenge: He stated he wanted to run full production up until 4pm on Friday and begin production the following Monday morning 100 miles away from his previous location with the last of his production equipment installed and running by Thursday. After careful planning and collaboration with the customer we came up with a plan that worked.

When we arrived we had enough room to unload one forklift and a pallet jack. Every employee’s coffee cup was still sitting in the last place they set them, and every piece of production was left as if production would begin Monday morning as normal. In other words, we had to make room to even begin.

We worked 24 hours a day with multiple shifts through the weekend dismantling, loading, shipping, unloading, and reinstalling the equipment. The first production started 10 am Monday morning. The last piece of production equipment was in production by Wednesday six days later from the start. Now all that sounds pretty incredible but the most incredible part of this project is that there were 42 full tractor trailer loads of equipment and inventory moved and set back up.
